چکیده

Background: In 2020, the pandemic caused by novel coronavirus infection has become one of most critical global health challenges during past century. The lack a vaccine, as effective way to control infection, prompted development large number preventive products scientific community. We have developed candidate vaccine (EpiVacCorona) against SARS-CoV-2 that is based on chemically synthesized peptides conjugated carrier protein and adsorbed aluminum hydroxide studied specific activity vaccine.
Aims: Study immunogenicity protectivity peptide EpiVacCorona.
Materials methods: work was performed using standard molecular biological, virological histological methods.
Results: It demonstrated EpiVacCorona, when administered twice, spaced 14 days apart, hamsters, ferrets, non-human primates (African green monkeys, rhesus macaques) at dose 260 g, which equal inoculation for humans, induces virus-specific antibodies in 100% animals. Experiments hamsters showed this be associated with dose-dependent immunogenicity. shown accelerate elimination virus from upper respiratory tract ferrets prevent pneumonia following challenge coronavirus.
Conclusions: results preclinical study indicate use EpiVacCorona potential human vaccination.

Design of a Multi-epitope Peptide Vaccine against SARS-CoV-2 based on Immunoinformatics Data

Background and purpose: In 2019, the world has witnessed the emergence of a virus that caused acute respiratory distress syndrome in human with high mortality rates (approximately 3.7%). So far, no effective treatment has been proven against COVID-19. This study aimed at designing a multi-epitope vaccine combining several T-cell and B-cell epitopes of the SARS-CoV-2. Materials and methods: Bas...

Identification of synthetic vaccine candidates against SARS CoV infection.

Three peptides, D1 (amino acid residues 175-201), D2 (a.a. 434-467), and TM (a.a. 1128-1159), corresponding to the spike protein (S) of severe acute respiratory syndrome corona virus (SARS CoV) were synthesized and their immunological functions were investigated in three different animals models (mice, guinea pigs, and rabbits). The peptides mixture formulated either with Freund's adjuvant or s...

In silico design a multivalent epitope vaccine against SARS-CoV-2 for Iranian populations

Background: Due to high genetic variation in human leukocyte antigen )HLA( alleles, epitope-based vaccines don’t show equal efficacy in different human populations. therefore, we proposed a multi-epitope vaccine against SARS-CoV-2 for Iranian populations. Materials and Methods: For this purpose, the proteins without allergenicity and high antigenicity as well as conservancy level from SARS-CoV...

Designing an ELISA Method for Measurement of Human IgG and IgM Antibodies against SARS-CoV-2

Background and purpose: Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a respiratory disease caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). In this study, an indirect ELISA method was designed to measure the human IgM and IgG antibodies against SARS-CoV-2. Materials and methods: Protein sequence of nucleocapsid antigen from SARS-CoV-2 was expressed in E. coli BL21 and then was...

SARS-COV-2 Virus; Immune Responses and The Immunopathogenesis

Abstract Background and Objectives Clinical features of SARS-COV-2 virus include fever, headache, cough, sore throat, and shortness of breath, and in severe forms it leads to disseminated intravascular coagulation, septic shock, and ultimately death. Excessive secretion of proinflammatory cytokines such as TNF-α, IL-6, and IL-1 leads to cytokine storms in this disease. The emergence of new va...
